Casey’s Cause 2nd Annual 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run will be held May 2, 2009 in Trussville, AL. The 5K begins at 8am and Fun Run at 9am. This will be a morning filled with family fun! Come out and support this great cause!!! Casey’s Cause is dedicated to awareness, education and research for ITP (Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura) a blood platelet disorder. Casey’s Cause was started by Christine Grant who lost her daughter to ITP January 25, 2007. Most cases of ITP can be treated and are not fatal. That is why education and awareness is so important.
