    I am a photographer in the Birmingham, AL area. My style is a blend of traditional and contemporary. Everyone loves a nice portrait, but it is the less guarded, more intimate images that stir our emotions. So, I try to capture both!

    When I am not shooting, I love to spend time with my family, travel, exercise and continue to learn more about photography. (It's a bit of an obsession!)

Abby – Pell City Alabama Senior Portraits

I have been DYING to share beautiful Abby’s senior session!! The fall rush, holidays and traveling have keep me so busy that I am just now getting around to it. This girl rocked her session. The camera seriously loves her. We had such a great time! When her mom mentioned that they wanted to have a piano in a field for some shots I was like, “yes, please!!” I love that Abby included a Detroit Tigers hat for some shots too. Her dad is a retired pitcher for them. Major cool points. She was a joy to photograph and I love how her session turned out!

The Melton Family – Birmingham Alabama Family Photographer

I know, I know, the blog has been neglected again! It’s fall you guys!! Fall is to photogs as tax season is to accountants. 😉 It’s been another busy one and I have loved seeing all my families this year! One of the coolest things about my job combined with social media is getting to reconnect with friends from the past. Mom went to my high school and ended up moving to Birmingham and buying a house just down the street! I had the pleasure of photographing her adorable family. It was a hot one here in Bama the day of their shoot, but they stayed cool as cucumbers. I won’t discuss how I looked at the end of the session!! Meet the Meltons!

Cyndi and Rusty are having a baby!! – Gulf Shores, Alabama Maternity Photography

I can’t tell you how long I have waited for these two to procreate. LOL. Cyndi and Rusty are beautiful inside and out. I had the honor of photographing their wedding in 2010 and now I am so excited to meet their little girl! I love the trust they put in me for their sessions. When Cyndi suggested a beach session for maternity, it was a photographer’s dream. 🙂 (and who needs an excuse to go to the beach?) Love these guys and so happy to see their family expanding.

Hi Ashley, I am just oogling your beautiful work from afar. You always do the most amazing sessions and I just loved the baby sitting in the water, then on a blanket with a bare butt and that adorable expression, then last him with his mom. Those were my favorites, but I always love them all.

My BFF Carlton – Trussville Alabama Child Photographer

Ok, let me just say…I love this kid. She is spunky, and spirited and hilarious…just to name a few characteristics. Mom was apologizing to me for the energy level of Miss Thang during our session, and I had to keep telling her that it was photographer gold. This girl gave me so many sides of her fun personality! (I’m sure you can’t tell by all the images. 😉 I am so blessed to get to photograph so many fun little people. Carlton was such a joy and we are officially BFFs now…just sayin. 😉
