Ashley Warren Studios bio picture
  • Welcome to my blog!

Hi and welcome to my blog! Glad you could stop by! This is where you can see my most recent sessions and posts about my own life, so look around and make yourself at home!

I am a photographer in the Birmingham, AL area. My style is a blend of traditional and contemporary. Everyone loves a nice portrait, but it is the less guarded, more intimate images that stir our emotions. So, I try to capture both!

When I am not shooting, I love to spend time with my family, travel, exercise and continue to learn more about photography. (It's a bit of an obsession!)

Check out my website by clicking on the "portfolio" link. Also, please to leave me some blog love! I would love to hear what you think! Welcome and come back soon!

Hunter and Brittney – Birmingham Alabama Wedding Photographer

This past Saturday Brittney and Hunter got married! And I got to photograph it!! Yay me! To say that these two are nice people is an understatement. I was fortunate enough to have shot his sister and brother-in-law’s wedding almost two years ago. I just love it when I get to see families again! It was a chilly January day, but both were troopers and let me drag them outside for some pics! The wedding was at Matthews Manor in Springville and I can’t say enough about Tammy Matthews, she was great! I hope you enjoy looking through the pics of their day as much as I enjoyed shooting it! A big thanks to my second shooter Breanna Fogg for some great captures!

Buy an Auburn University 2010 National Championship TP Tunnel Print by Gary Rockwell here! – Portion of the proceeds will go to help save the trees!!

WAR EAGLE! So, many of you know that I grew up in Auburn and went to school at Auburn University. My father still lives there and went out the day after the National Championship win and took pictures of Toomer’s corner and the AUsome amount of toilet paper there! For those of you not familiar with this Auburn tradition, after a win, everyone congregates at the main corner downtown across from Toomer’s Drug Store and TP’s/rolls the giant oak tree there. (as well as any other tree or object we can get toilet paper on.) Usually cheers, chants and songs will spontaneously erupt and the energy is palpable!

I posted my father’s images on Facebook to share and within minutes it was viral! There have been many requests for prints, so I thought I would help Dad out and offer them through my blog. I have always given him credit for my eye for photography and you can see why! 🙂

If I were an Auburn fan, I’d definitely purchase this print. But I’m not (Roll Tide), so I shared it with all my facebook friends so my Auburn fan friends could see it and buy it. Beautiful!

We just received this print in 10 x 20 from a cousin as a gift. It is a great photo and you should be very proud of your fathers work. I just told my daughter about it this morning and she has just ordered a print. SO proud of our TIGERS and WAR EAGLE to everyone!!!!

stephanie williams - February 17, 2011 - 1:36 pm

Thank you so much for sharing this picture for us to buy. I am a die hard Alabama fan but my husband and most of his family are Auburn fans! I had wanted to buy one of these for him before the crazy AL fan poisioned the poor trees. It is a very sad situation that should have never happened. I ordered 2 today, 1 for my husband & 1 for my mother-in-law. Thanks again for sharing & today I will say War Eagle!
Btw, I love your photography & would love to attend a workshop sometime! 🙂

Gorgeous picture! And so sad, given recent events. :My husband is an alum (class of 99) and I wish I had gone there instead of where I did! 😉 I’ll be placing an order soon.

Don Little - February 19, 2011 - 9:05 am

Thanks for sharing — seeing your father’s print was therapeutic for me today. I just ordered the 16×20 standout so I can look at it every day. Thanks and WDE!!

Sweet Little Madalyn – Birmingham Alabama Children’s Photographer

Since we are talking about my “former artistic life” in the previous post, here is another loyal Ashley Warren Studios pre-photo client. 🙂 This little beauty hired me to paint some canvases and wall murals for her EONS ago. 🙂 Or at least it seems that way! LOL This cutie patootie wasn’t even born yet. I was so happy to get to see her mom again and photography this gorgeous girl.

Cute Family of Five – Birmingham Alabama Family Photographer

Meet the Stodghill family! Ashley has known me since the very beginning of my photography business. In those “pre-photo” days, Ashley Warren Studios was actually a mural painting business. 🙂 I also made canvases and hand painted frames. I used the money from this business to buy my photography equipment when I was just getting started. Ashley was kind enough to let me sell my paintings and frames in her super cute maternity and baby store. I am so thankful for that opportunity and it was a great step towards the “Ashley Warren Studios” you know now! Miss Sophie was having her one year pics and we also got in some family pics as well. How adorable is this crew???
