  • Welcome to my blog!

Hi and welcome to my blog! Glad you could stop by! This is where you can see my most recent sessions and posts about my own life, so look around and make yourself at home!

I am a photographer in the Birmingham, AL area. My style is a blend of traditional and contemporary. Everyone loves a nice portrait, but it is the less guarded, more intimate images that stir our emotions. So, I try to capture both!

When I am not shooting, I love to spend time with my family, travel, exercise and continue to learn more about photography. (It's a bit of an obsession!)

Check out my website by clicking on the "portfolio" link. Also, please to leave me some blog love! I would love to hear what you think! Welcome and come back soon!

The R Triplets are BACK! – Birmingham, Alabama Triplet Photographer

I can not believe how much these sweeties have grown! They were sooo tiny when I did there newborn session. The littlest, Miss C. was just over 4 pounds when I photographed her. (2lbs, 14oz. at birth) She is the tiniest baby I have ever held! They are such sweet little girls and each has their own personality too! How much fun will it be to grow up with two built in best friends?

Sweet Miss M- Homewood Alabama Child Photographer

I met up with little Miss M the other day for her one year session. She is such a sweet little girl and her eyes just kill me! It was a wonderful start back shooting after two weeks off recovering from my elbow surgery. Thanks Miss M and mommy! I had a great time! (Oh yeah, and I LOVE the red shoes! Every girl should have a pair. 🙂 )

Ashley! it appears that YOU are a fantastic photographer AND your ability to capture the absolutely STUNNING beauty of my Granddaughter is proof herein. Little Ms. M is precious! And I am only slightly biased in my opinion. Her mother & father are both stunningly beautiful people, not to mention kind, caring, intelligent and loving parents & human beings!

Three Babies in Three Days- Birmingham Alabama Newborn Photographer

So, by now most of you know about my bum arm. Good times! Well, not only did I have a wedding on the books, but THREE newborns! Um, you can’t really reschedule a newborn session. 😛 I called all my clients and offered to refer them to another one o f the many talented photogs in our area, but all decided to stay with me, even with only one good arm! I was so flattered, but also a little panicked! How was I going to pose them??? I am so blessed to have wonderful friends that are also in the photography business and I split the load between three of them. (I had many other offers for help and I am so grateful for those as well. You truly find out who cares for you when you go through tough times.) Here is one shot from each session. I am so pleased with the results and really liked working with a helper. Maybe in the future it should be a regular thing…hmmmm? A big thanks to Kelley D, Susanne King and Taylor Haynie. Couldn’t have done it without you ladies! Love ya!

They turned out so good! I’m so glad I could help, not that I did anything! 🙂

Sarah and Nick – Gulf Shores, Alabama Wedding Photographer

Well, I am not really sure how to begin writing this post. I can honestly say this was the most challenging wedding for me to shoot. How is that possible with such a wonderful bride and groom, fantastic location, awesome wedding party and amazing family??? Well, the day before the wedding, I broke my arm in a bicycle wreck…Um, yeah. Long story short: with the help of a great second Jessica Travis, a rapidly trained assistant (my hubby) and a few pain pills, we were able to deliver! I was so blessed to be shooting such a great couple! I hated to cause them ANY stress, but they were totally calm and collected. Even the weather held out! Sarah has amazing style and I loved seeing and photographing all her hard work. (Oh, and did I mention she is a photography major from UAB? No pressure there! :-)) The wedding party was hilarious and made the day such fun. I wish you guys all the best, and thanks again for putting up with your one-armed photog!

Ashley – you’ve sold me. I’m now officially a huge fan! I love every single one of these!

The Fantabulously Fun H Family – Birmingham Alabama Family Photographer

What a fun family! You can tell these guys def like to have a good time! I had the best time cutting up with them during our shoot! Both boys are very well skilled at Zoolander’s “Blue Steel and Le Tigra.” You can tell much practice have been put into their “looks.” LOL As you will see below, they are also very skilled Kung Fu masters, so watch out. Dad caught some serious air! Thank for a great session guys!
