  • Welcome to my blog!

Hi and welcome to my blog! Glad you could stop by! This is where you can see my most recent sessions and posts about my own life, so look around and make yourself at home!

I am a photographer in the Birmingham, AL area. My style is a blend of traditional and contemporary. Everyone loves a nice portrait, but it is the less guarded, more intimate images that stir our emotions. So, I try to capture both!

When I am not shooting, I love to spend time with my family, travel, exercise and continue to learn more about photography. (It's a bit of an obsession!)

Check out my website by clicking on the "portfolio" link. Also, please to leave me some blog love! I would love to hear what you think! Welcome and come back soon!

W sisters- Helena, Alabama Child Photographer

Still catching up with my blogging…Here is a couple of cuties from last month. Baby girl was a little older that your typical newborn. (she had a little rough start when she was born and spent some time in the hospital, but is all better now.:-)) She took a little convincing to get her to sleep for us, but we finally got her to zonk out for a bit. Big sister is SO good with the new baby. Such a helper and so sweet!

I have gotten a little behind on blogging due to wedding season, but it is slowing coming to an end. Although just in time for the Fall/Christmas rush!!! LOL I hope to have some cards designs in the next few weeks so keep and eye on on the blog! Hope all the kiddos going back to school have great transitions! My oldest is headed to Kindergarten tomorrow! Time flies!!!

You must have a really nice camera- Birmingham Alabama photographer

I love this!! I saw this on one of my fav photogs blogs and had to share it! I have heard it a thousand times. “You must have a nice camera.” or “I can’t take pictures like you cause I don’t have a good camera.” If you had a great meal at a fabulous resturant, would you tell the chef that he had great pots and pans? Or tell a painter that they have nice brushes? 🙂 I had people asking me to take pics of their kids back when I had a 3 megapixel point and shoot. The camera doesn’t make the image, the artist does. Not saying that great equipment doesn’t help or matter. I surely prefer a tack sharp quality lens over a crappy plastic one, but that is not what makes an image. Don’t let less than perfect equipment prevent you from creating art, people!

Brianna and Steven-Birmingham Alabama Wedding Photographer

What a fun day!!! And talk about some dancing! Brianna and Steven got married at St. Xavier Catholic Church on Aug 1. The ceremony was beautiful and the reception was tons of fun! Brianna is the owner and a coach at Legacy Gymnastics. She had choreographed a dance for her and Steven as well as a number for her gymnasts to “Beat It” by Michael Jackson. Oddly enough, she chose that song before his death. Brianna has an Italian background and Steven has a Lebanese background. Both were celebrated with traditional wedding dances! Steven and his buddies sang “Sweet Home Alabama” on stage with a little “Roll Tide, Roll” added in. Brianna and the girls paid homage to Mrs. Tina Turner with a little “Rollin on the River.” When it was time for the garter toss, Steven had a little trouble and a flip flop went flying! I hope you guys have a wonderful honeymoon! Such a fun day, thanks for letting me be a part of it. Special thanks to Jessica Travis and Emanuel Neiconi for shooting with me and the uber fabulous Ouida Jones-Johnson for helping to keep things running smooth as butter!
