  • Welcome to my blog!

Hi and welcome to my blog! Glad you could stop by! This is where you can see my most recent sessions and posts about my own life, so look around and make yourself at home!

I am a photographer in the Birmingham, AL area. My style is a blend of traditional and contemporary. Everyone loves a nice portrait, but it is the less guarded, more intimate images that stir our emotions. So, I try to capture both!

When I am not shooting, I love to spend time with my family, travel, exercise and continue to learn more about photography. (It's a bit of an obsession!)

Check out my website by clicking on the "portfolio" link. Also, please to leave me some blog love! I would love to hear what you think! Welcome and come back soon!

Almost makes me want to have another child, almost…| Trussville Alabama Child photographer

Ok, so I KNOW I am done having kiddos, but this little girl is so cute and sweet, that for a second, I thought it would be nice to have a little girl. (that’s saying a lot!) 🙂 She is just too cute! Little Miss chatty is only a year old, but I swear she understood everything! very verbal too. Just cute as a button! Mom had suggested a new location for me, (love that) and it turned out great! We had a great time and little miss was such a trooper! Hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

Legacy-Tuscaloosa, Alabama Children’s photographer

Meet Mr. F! Such a cutie bug! His cousin is another cutie bug client of mine. When his momma saw Miss C’s pics, she was willing to drive from Tuscaloosa for me to shoot this little guy! He was such a good boy for our shoot, even after keeping mom up all night the night before!

On a sadder note, Mr. F lost his grandmother to breast cancer last week. She had been battling the disease for a while and wasn’t supposed to have lived as long as she did. But, I know she is so proud of the wonderful legacy she has left on this earth. Just a reminder to everyone that life is so fragile. Cherish every moment you have with your loved ones. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

Labor Day- Trussville Alabama Child Photographer

Well, I thought it was about time to try and take some pics of my own kids for a change. Um, yeah, think I will hire someone else next time…I got the great idea to take the boys down to the Cahaba River for some shots. Not a bad idea in itself, but at the last minute I decided to bring the dog. Dogs and kids. Everything was going fine until Charlie (the dog) stepped in an ant bed. The ants were all over him and bit Trevor a few times on the foot. Charlie was rubbing his whole body back and forth on the grass and mud. 🙂 (did I mention that I didn’t bring a single towel?) That concluded the shooting in the grass, so we moved to the water. As most photographers know, it is nearly impossible to get your own kids to photograph. They are soooo over the camera by like age two. At least I tried. I think we are gonna try for a round two one day soon. I will keep you posted…

Ashley, I spend too much time studying, reading, and browsing photography books and websites…instead of practicing my photog skills. I mention this only for perspective when I say that I can’t think of any shots I’ve liked better than the ones of your boys at the Cahaba…these are crazy good.

I’d love to see that 4th shot in a b&w old school edit…

Fantastic!

Family Fun at Samford University-Birmingham Alabama Family Photographer

I had a great time the other day hanging out with this cute family! Dad works as the events manager at Samford University and yes, it has it’s perks! (still waiting on my concert tickets… j/k) But we did get some great transportation around the campus and access to the beautiful auditorium. Samford has got to be the most beautiful campus I have ever seen. We were there for little bit’s four month pics, but had to get some of the whole fam and sister too. I love having fun with the older ones! We can all use more silliness in our lives!

ok, so I told them not to look at me and to look at each other. Dad made a funny face, so I said, "But don't make THAT face, dad." Well, after that he served up some winners... as you can see. :-)
