This weekend I will be teaching my Wedding and Bridal Photography Class again. The class is held at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens and offered through the Southern Institute of Photography. If you are thinking about trying your hand at wedding photography, I will share the tools you need to get started. There will be an in depth lecture on Saturday covering topics like, equipment, second shooting, workflow, typical requested shots, posing, business and vendors. That afternoon we will head to Sloss Furnace for a shoot with a real bride and groom in wedding attire. Sunday, we will head to Morris Ave for a mock engagement session. Hope to see you there! Miss J is headed to HIGH SCHOOL! Her mom wanted some jr. high graduation pics, so we headed down to morris ave and had us a little fashion shoot! J has a cool sense of style, rockin the old school acid washed jeans. (yes, I wore them the FIRST time they were cool…) She loves acting and drama, so we played on that. I totally think she looks like a curly hair version of Ginnifer Goodwin. Super cute!!!
Aren’t these the cutest kids? They are twins and so fun! We have been trying to get this session arranged for a while now. Rain, busted noses and all other kinds of things kept popping up. It was worth the wait! Miss K was even brave enough to feed and pet a horse. I really enjoyed meeting these two and look forward to seeing them at my son’s preschool this fall!
love the shot of the little girl feeding the horse! i love the locations you choose.
Been shooting lots of little squirts lately! All those springtime babies are ready for their moments in the spot light! So many new families starting the amazing path down parenthood lane! Here are a few of my recent little ones. All of these guys were older than us fussy photogs prefer, but they were all a delight. So, yes, we PREFER that newborns be under two weeks, for a variety of reasons, i.e.: still look like a wrinkly skinny newborn, sleep most of the time, let you mess with them a bunch, no baby acne to edit out, etc. BUT it can be done if they are older and here are some sweet examples. There is nothing quite as perfect as a fresh new creation.
Drama!!! The GOOD kind! 🙂 Emily and Nathan celebrated their big day on the stage! The beautiful event took place at the Virginia Samford Theater is Birmingham. Such a beautiful and unique venue. Emily was gorgeous and so TOGETHER! I don’t know that I have seen a calmer bride! Nathan and his groomsmen enjoyed some gaming on the big screen, not sure who won, but it got heated! Although the index was 105° F that day, we still were able to venture outside for some “cool” shots. The band was great at getting folks on their feet and even had grampa out on the floor breakin it down! (check out his moves below) I hope you guys have a fantastic honeymoon and thank you for making my job so fun! You guys rock!
Love these Ashley! We’re shooting at Virginia Samford this Fall and I can’t wait to have some stage lighting! You rocked this one out!
