    I am a photographer in the Birmingham, AL area. My style is a blend of traditional and contemporary. Everyone loves a nice portrait, but it is the less guarded, more intimate images that stir our emotions. So, I try to capture both!

    When I am not shooting, I love to spend time with my family, travel, exercise and continue to learn more about photography. (It's a bit of an obsession!)

Beach Sessions-gulf shores alabama photographer

Wooo hoooo!!! I am lovin this weather and I can’t wait to dip my toes in the Gulf of Mexico! I am shooting Jamie and Bill’s wedding down there on May 16th and have extended my stay a bit to get a little R&R and possbily get in a few beach photo sessions. If you are going to be in the Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area on May 17, 18 or 19th I will be doing limited evening sessions on these days. Please contact me at 655-4670 if you are interested in booking a session. You can choose between a late afternoon or sunset session.

Amazingly enough I was able to capture this image MYSELF and there were NO head swaps in Photoshop! Believe me, this is a rare thing with my crew! Let me take on your bunch so you won't have to drag a tripod out the sand and run back and forth trying to beat the self timer a million times!! LOL

Casey’s Cause 5K /1 mile fun run – birmingham alabama photographer

Casey’s Cause 2nd Annual 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run will be held May 2, 2009 in Trussville, AL. The 5K begins at 8am and Fun Run at 9am. This will be a morning filled with family fun! Come out and support this great cause!!! Casey’s Cause is dedicated to awareness, education and research for ITP (Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura) a blood platelet disorder. Casey’s Cause was started by Christine Grant who lost her daughter to ITP January 25, 2007. Most cases of ITP can be treated and are not fatal. That is why education and awareness is so important. Please join us to support a great cause.

Sugar and Spice – birmingham alabama child photographer

It’s about time I got another sweet little girl to photograph! I feel like lately it has been mostly boys! I am always excited to pull out the “fluff” for a change! Little Miss C is such a doll baby! She just goes with the flow. (I wish my boys had been so laid back at this age.) Her mother mentioned that she liked the “baby in a bucket” pic of mine. Fortunately, I had a basket with me, so we reenacted that shot for her. 🙂 Check out the adorable little miracle below…

Southern Institute of Photography Photo Review- Birmingham Photography

Come one, come all!! This Wednesday at 6:30pm at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, the Southern Institute of Photography will hold it’s first annual photography review. As some of you know, I taught a wedding and bridal class this winter through SIP. The review will showcase examples of student work from the courses that were offered this past quarter. If you have thought about taking a course, this would be a great way to see what you can expect to learn. It’s also a great way to meet other photography enthusiasts  in our area. (there will also be snacks… :-)) So join us this Wed (4/29) in the auditorium (center of 1st floor) in the BBG Education Building. Hope to see you there!

Couple of cuties! – Birmingham Alabama child photographer

These two cuties pies mommy’s are friends and co-workers, so I thought I would blog them together. Mr. G is a wonderful little ball of energy. So sweet! We had a fun time wandering around his yard during the session. It was daddy’s idea to put him on the diving board. 🙂 Mom and I were quite nervous, but I really love the shot!

Miss E is a baby plan sweetie that I have had the pleasure of watching grow and change. Her first birthday will be here very soon and I will be sad not getting to see her every few months! She is such a happy baby and is a big fan of her mom’s rendition of “Little cabin in the woods.” lol

Thanks for sharing your little ones with me ladies!
